Suman - Kamoteng Kahoy

My favorite kind of Suman. The one that I grew with at our farm, I always go with my sisters when they're going to dig cassava for suman. I love it when we can dig a very good one. Here is the recipe that I've learned from them.

Ingredients for 10 servings

4 cups grated cassava
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup pure coconut milk
1/2 cup condensed Milk
wilted banana leaves for wrapping the suman

Procedure:
1. By using a cheesecloth, squeeze the grated cassava to remove the juice from it. After this process combine the cassava, condensed milk, coconut milk and sugar then mix thoroughly.

2.Get a portion and put over the wilted banana leaves then roll and wrap properly.

3. After wrapping tie it by pairs then put in a pot then put water that levels with the suman then start cooking it, once boiling, set the timer and cook it for 45 minutes or until done.
4. Serve it anytime you want it. :-)

    1. para smooth ang lasa, minsan kasi ag di i-squeeze may after taste sya, pero may variety rin na kahit di i-squeeze ok lang sya.
