Lugaw a la Arroz Caldo

Lugaw is a delicious Filipino porridge but this time I made a twist in this recipe by making it like arroz caldo
but no chicken added. Simple but delicious. Good for rainy seasons.

2 cups glutinous rice ( malagkit)
1/4 cup ginger strips
1/4 cup fish sauce ( patis) optional
hard boiled eggs ( for toppings)
toasted garlic (for toppings)
spring onion ( for toppings)
ground pepper to taste

1. Saute the garlic and ginger then add the rice simmer for few minutes.
2. Add the fish sauce ( patis) and ground pepper simmer for a minute.

3. Add the water that is enough to cook the porridge. Cover and stir occasionally until cooked.
4. Serve it hot and put the toppings.
